Simple Sautéed Green Beans

The best recipe for crisp and flavorful sautéed green beans, in only 10 minutes!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 12 oz green beans, trimmed
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • A pinch of salt and ground pepper
  • ¼ cup water

Instructions

  1. Sauté in oil: Heat olive oil in a large pan with a lid over medium heat. Add the green beans and saute, stirring occasionally for approximately 5 minutes.
  2. Add seasoning: Add garlic powder, salt and pepper to the pan and stir to make sure the beans are evenly coated in seasoning.
  3. Simmer with water: Add the water and immediately cover the pan keeping in the steam. Allow the beans to cook for 4 minutes.
  4. Finish the dish: Remove the cover and continue cooking for 1 minute more until the beans are tender, stirring occasionally and letting the water evaporate.

Notes

Leftover green beans can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to four days.
