1 cup brown rice
Instructions
- Boil water: Bring 6 cups of water to a boil in a pot over high heat.
- Add rice: Once boiling, add in the brown rice and stir. Reduce heat to low and cover.
- Simmer: Simmer rice for 25- 30 minutes or until tender.
- Strain: Drain water and rice into a fine mesh strainer and then return the rice to the pot.
- Rest: Cover with the lid and set aside off the heat for 5 minutes to allow any remaining water to evaporate.
- Serve: Fluff rice with a fork and serve.
